Simply Better IT was established as an IT consultancy by Simon Belt in Manchester in 1999, to formalise the consultancy and computer support services Simon was being asked to do for individuals and small businesses, whilst working for a leading international outsourcing company. After a few years of defining and refining his service offering to the small business market, and deepening his already broad technical skill set, Simon opted to leave his full-time role to concentrate on the more rewarding small business market as a Microsoft Small Business Specialist.
Now based in the delightful town of New Mills Derbyshire, Simply Better IT offer on-site and remote access support to small businesses across the north of England. We focus on professional sector clients such as architects, ideas factories, and accountants who are looking to use technology better within their businesses and to improve their communications with external clients. We are Microsoft Certified Professionals with wide experience and achievements in successfully delivering technology from Microsoft DOS through to the latest couplings of Microsoft Vista, Office 2007 and Server 2008.
We are usually engaged when an ad hoc mixture of old and mismatched or poorly configured technologies, are proving a severe hindrance to the operations of small businesses. Our speciality is the designing of end to end solutions to move from technology that acts as a barrier to business, to delivering the IT infrastructure that facilitates the best bsuiness processes to operate smoothly. Often, a fairly simple reworking of the IT infrastructure to be based around Microsoft Small Business Server is all that is required.
Although we have the experience and depth to be able to deploy and manage sophisticated and complex solutions where required, we also have the common sense and practicality to provide appropriately scaled deployments. For small businesses with up to 50 people, often the deployment of a secure fast network based around a Microsoft Small Business Server installation, providing file and print services, secure Internet access, sophisticated database, full messaging services and remote working is all that is required.
Our clients are primarily rapidly expanding professional service businesses that need a professional IT infrastructure, but just don't have the time or computer support expertise to achieve this in-house. With experience of deploying IT within big businesses, we excel at transforming the oddly networked computer setups common in many small businesses to improve their efficiency, and deliver the network infrastructure required to liaise properly with big businesses going forward.
